Congratulations to Thomas Gardner and Jason Ponto for attaining their New Jersey State Department of Community Affairs Firefighter 1 Certification. Thomas and Jason graduated from the Gloucester County Institute of Technology where they both took the High School Senior year option for Emergency Response and Fire Science. The program ran from last September to June (180 days) in the afternoons for a total of 450 hours of classroom-based instruction.
Thomas and Jason have been Junior Firefighters and have been active in responding to calls. Both will be an asset to the Deptford Fire Department. Welcome to the Brotherhood !
