What an epic day in the history of Union Fire Company and Blackwood Terrace !!
The children’s parade to start it off and over 50 pieces of apparatus in the parade that lasted for over 45 minutes. Deptford Police estimate over 1,000 people on the grounds at the conclusion of the parade. We sold right around 600 mugs, consumed 18 kegs of beer, drank over 2,500 bottles of water, ate 3,000 hot dogs and 1,700 pretzels. We rocked out with “Screaming Matilda” starting at 3:30pm and ended up with “It is What it is” 6 hours later at 10:00pm and Starlight DJ Entertainment had us dancing in between.
There are countless people that made this happen and special thanks go to Deptford Mayor Medany, Council and their staff. We could not have done this with-out our sponsors and most of all YOU ! We will put up a tab later in the week just for the 100th with pictures, video’s and lots more information. Thank you to all who participated and attended.
